If you are using nbody6++ with the Jump system in Jülich, here you can find some useful things.

1) To obtain an account for the Jump system, use the following link.
Then go to "Benutzer-Accounts für NIC-Projekte" -> write the project id "HHD09" (Rainer, is this correct?) ->
Fill out the online form, get Rainer's signature and fax the printed version to 02461 - 612810.

2) Getting started with nbody6++:

a) You need (i) a special Makefile for Jump and (ii) the mpif.h of the Jump architecture.
You can find these two files in the "Files" Section of this wiki (tar file: Jump_Makefile.tar.gz)

b) How to submit jobs? See http://jumpdoc.fz-juelich.de. And/or try the UNICORE client. ***Could somebody write here how to get the certificate for the UNICORE client?***

3) The Jump system does not support the usual append operation for file IO. Here you can find
a special routine (fileend.f) written by Patrick Glaschke together with related routines.
This routine automatically moves the file pointer to the end of the file after it has been opened.
Therefore, append is then possible, especially for the output file conf.3.
You can find these routines as well in the "Files" Section of this wiki (zip file: Modified_Append.zip)
